Deph Naught) brought things to a whole new level during his performance at the excellent Pop Explosion concert I covered at the Gramercy Theatre, NYC on March 2, 2013. Deph Naught’s rap skills is one of a kind and Deph Naught rocks every chance he gets to show his talent dropping down some raps and rhymes. But Deph Naught doesn’t only exhibit his talent in the music industry, this charming fellow stars as Owen Milligan in the long-running, fan-favorite show, Degrassi. The sensation- Deph Naught has a large fan-base of his own and was mobbed by fans upon entering the Pop Explosion NYC venue.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: So today we’re here at Pop Explosion NYC, can you tell us a little pre-show rituals you have before your performance?

Deph Naught: Yeah! We just really get in a circle, me and my hype-man right here; and we kind of just pow-wow just a little bit, make a simple prayer; and get ready to go!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Nice! So we can count on you doing that tonight? Deph Naught: Probably!! Absolutely!!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Great! So you were also in Degrassi; and I know I love Degrassi, and I’m sure all your fans and viewers love Degrassi. Can you tell us what it’s like on set of Degrassi?

Deph Naught: It’s probably the best set ever!! I’ve done a couple of other projects as well; Degrassi, there’s no set quite like it. It’s been on for so long, it’s been on for like 20, 20 plus years, 30 years- maybe even more! And the machine is so well oiled that it’s just very professional, everyone’s friendly, great working environment!!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Definitely! So you’re character on Degrassi, do you seem like you have any similarities with your character?

Deph Naught: Well he’s a prideful guy, his name is Owen Milligan, he’s a prideful guy; so I’d say I’m the same way. He’s really dead-set on his ideas; and I’d say I’m the same way! But other than that, he’s kind of a jerk, he’s kind of a jerk!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: So lastly, if you could bring out one message to all your fans watching, what message would that be?

Deph Naught: I love you guys!! Probably wouldn’t be here without you so if you’re here tonight go crazy, if not, I’ll catch you on the next one!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Yes! You have to go crazy! Promise us that! Or we’ll find you guys! Well, thank you so much for chatting with me, Deph Naught: Absolutely! Jillian Jensen is a perfect example of a talented artist that shows no matter what or how many obstacles come your way, none of them should stop you because as what Jillian says, “Success will be your greatest revenge”. Jillian truly is a wonderful role model to all her fans and her story continues to influence many!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Can you tell us about your upcoming projects that you’re working on?

Jillian Jensen: I actually released a song February 26th called “Boys Suck”. But it’s not another Taylor Swift “We Are Never Getting Back Together” type of dileo. Basically what it’s saying, if you’re going to date, whether it’s boy/girl (Because girls, honestly; girls can be terrible too), just be mature enough to not be a playa, you know what I mean?

Alexisjoyvipaccess: I totally agree with you!

Jillian Jensen: Just be mature! And that’s what the song’s about. It’s not about how the entire male population should go away, which sometimes I agree with!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Awesome! So we’re here backstage, can you tell us some backstage pre-show rituals you like to do?

Jillian Jensen: I like to do my trills as though I am ‘Sharpay’ from “High School Musical”.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Can we do it? *Alexisjoyvipaccess and Jillian Jensen do the ‘Sharpay’ trills.* Alexisjoyvipaccess: I just did the backstage pre-show rituals with Jill herself! Jillian Jensen: I do it all the time!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Nice! So you were also on the X-Factor, can you tell us what that experience was like for you?

Jillian Jensen: Being on X-Factor, I mean, auditioning in itself was probably one of the scariest moments in my entire life and I don’t know getting into the top 24, I was like, “Is this a dream?”. It was really cool! It was extremely stressful; but it was a lot of fun!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: And also you spoke with Demi Lovato, can you tell us how she influenced you as well?

Jillian Jensen: Well it was interesting because I always told myself, if ever given the opportunity to be on a live audition for a show, I was going to dedicate my performance to those who have been through what I’ve been through. I always told myself that! And it was one of those moments where I find out Demi Lovato is the judge; and I got through to the live auditions, I was like, “How can the stars align more?”. And that’s someone I look up to, I did struggle with eating disorders, we have so much in common that it was just unbelievable!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: And you both are such amazing, influential artists! Jillian Jensen: Thank you so, so much! She’s amazing! “Heart Attack”; go get “Heart Attack”, go get it!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: So lastly, if you could bring out one message to all your fans watching, what message would that be?

Jillian Jensen: Well I would probably say, it’s something I tell everyone, it’s that success will be your greatest revenge, I have it tattooed across my back. If you’re going through a hard time whether it be bullying, or whatever it is, poverty, focus on whatever it is you love most and you know you need in your life more than the oxygen to breath and just go for it because you know something, I believe instead of hurting yourself, which is something I dealt with; or lashing out and becoming a rebel because of it, just focus on bettering yourself because in the end you’ll realize that success will be your greatest revenge!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: That’s an incredible message, I couldn’t have said it any better! So thank you so much for talking with me and I look forward to seeing you perform tonight!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Can you guys tell us what pre-show rituals you have before your performance?

Ryan Ochoa: Well, it’s kind of a secret! Kidding! Robert Ochoa: That’s a good question! Pre-show rituals we just huddle up together and give each other a motivational speech about the show, make sure it’s going to be good. Rick Ochoa: Thank everybody for the opportunity that they give us and what we have and that we get to do this as brothers and family. Robert Ochoa: Yeah, and just have fun, you know! Ryan Ochoa: We all love football so it’s almost like a football huddle! 

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Oh, nice! So you guys are obviously brothers, what made you decide to form a group together?

Ryan Ochoa: Being on Disney, I always had that choice. All these Disney kids sing, but I wasn’t for that, I wanted to stick with acting; so it started to be like, we have brothers, we have something; so we were like, “Do we sing?”; but we don’t really sing, so we’re like okay, we like rap music, we love dance music; dance music is like the next big thing right now like LMFAO (that’s like our inspiration). Rick Ochoa: I think it’s more because we all act and like you can’t be in a movie or together all the time; but music we can, we can perform. Ryan Ochoa: Yeah, but we have fun and that’s the most important thing!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Yup, that’s the most important thing! So lastly, can you tell all your fans some upcoming projects you have with your music?

Raymond Ochoa: Actually, we just got this one! I have a movie coming out! I got a new movie it’s called “Charlie: A Toy Story”, it pops out April 2nd! Ryan Ochoa: Yup! World-wide premiere, we just found out!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Wow! Congratulations! Raise your hand if you’re going to see it, I’m seeing it!

Rick Ochoa: Music wise, you can look out for today, we have a brand new song! Robert Ochoa: We got a few performances coming up next month!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: That’s so exciting! So your fans can stay tuned for that!

Rick Ochoa: Yeah, we keep it rollin’!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Yeah! Some hard-working teens we have here!
